Ocean Adventure

Found in Camayan Wharf, Subic Bay, Ocean Adventure is the first open-water marine theme park in all of Asia. Animal behaviorists and trainers built it with the vision of enhancing the public’s general understanding of marine life by creating a space where both fish and humans can interact and bond freely.
The most notable attraction in Ocean Adventure is its Ocean discovery Aquarium, where guests are surrounded by a large tank and are free to watch different species of sea creatures swim around in their open habitat. Moreover, visitors may also request to swim and play with some of the creatures, like trained sea lions and dolphins. For experienced divers, the Marine Lagoon is the place to be as it is the home to big fishes like blacktip reef sharks, giant jackfish, and colorful kinds of reef fish. There are also four rescued sea turtles, who were deemed too weak to be released in the wild. There are monthly shows as well that showcase the skills of the trained animals.
There are other attractions for those who aren’t keen on getting wet too. There’s the Ocean HeART 3D Wall art that animates drawings of sea creatures, and a foot spa where guests can relax while doctor fish (Garra rufa) nibble away dead skin from their feet. Other land animals found in the area are the Palawan bearcat, python, Philippine scoops owl, eagle, and fruit bats.
Best time to visit
It is best to schedule trip to Ocean Adventure anytime from March to May since there are fewer chances of rainfall during these months, allowing you to watch the outdoor shows including trained dolphins, sea lions, and more.
