Sabangaran Falls

Sabangaran Falls can be found in Diffun, in the province of Quirino. The municipality is known for its four beautiful waterfalls. Apart from Sabangaran Falls, the other falls that can be found here are Ganano Falls, Sinipit Falls, and Nantugaw Falls. Usually, the first stop for tourists exploring all four falls is Sabangaran Falls.

The falls is just three-meter high and has a pair of interconnected lagoons. Sitio Batumbaket Creek and Ganano Creek meet here, and the falls got its name from the Ilocano term “nagsabatan,” which means meeting point. The pool at the bottom of the cascade is great for a refreshing dip.

Tickets and entry

There is a PhP 15 environmental fee that tourists need to pay when exploring the four waterfalls of Diffun. If you want to hire a guide, you would also need to pay an additional fee. This will depend on the number of people in your group.

Best time to visit

The best time to visit the falls is during the hottest months, which usually fall from March to May. However, note that the cascade of the falls may not be as full as compared to the rainy season.
