Sarangani Highlands

If Cebu City has Tops Lookout, Sarangani has Sarangani Highlands. Similar to Tops, Sarangani Highlands boasts an overlooking and peaceful view of the city and nearby attractions. For Sarangani Highlands, the view includes Sarangani Bay, General Santos City, Mt. Matutum and Mt. Parker. But unlike Tops, Sarangani Highlands offers a little more because it is mini garden and resort with a rustic and nature vibe.

Since it opened in 2007, Sarangani Highlands has been a must visit by both local and tourist families. They frequent the place not only for its scenic view but also to have time to unwind and enjoy. Exploring the colorful garden and the well-kept landscapes and having a quick dip in the resort’s infinity pool are few of the best ways to maximize a visit to Sarangani Highlands.

The place also has function rooms perfect for private events and parties. The restaurant inside the whole complex is probably the most significant icon here in Sarangani Highlands. It was the very first part of the highlands opened to the public. It serves delectable Filipino dishes with fresh fish as one of the highlights. It is no surprise that fish is one of their bestsellers since this resort is located in the Tuna Capital of the Philippines (General Santos City).

With a panoramic view of General Santos City, Sarangani Highlands showcases a lovely view of the sunset. It seems like that the place transform into a romantic date destination for couples. The intimate setup includes relaxing on a breezy porch, eating fresh seafood, indulging in delicious local desserts and enjoying the beautiful view of the city. A few have chosen this place for marriage proposals, too. In the past years, Sarangani Highlands has been a usual choice for couples who want a garden wedding.

How to get there

Once in General Santos City, head to downtown and ride a jeepney going to Tambler. Once there, ride a habal-habal that can take you to Sarangani Highlands.
