Information about Talikud Island
Talikud Island
This small island’s name comes from its location behind Samal Island in Davao del Norte. Visitors will enjoy its sparkling turquoise waters, pristine white sand beaches, and rich underwater life. Here you can enjoy the stunning beach views, have a picnic, or swim and snorkel in the water on a day trip. It can be reachable from Davao City via a one-hour ferry ride, making it a good side trip for those already in the city.
Those who want to spend more time on the island can book a stay at one of the resorts there. Just note that there aren’t a lot of establishments on the island, so make sure to bring all the essentials from the mainland.
Tickets and entry
Some resorts charge a minimal entrance fee for those on a day tour who want to use their facilities. There are also huts that you can rent during the day, and these will cost you around P250 to P800.
Best time to visit
To ensure a sunny visit, the best time to go to Talikud Island is during the dry months of January to April. This will allow you to enjoy all the beach activities that the island has to offer. If you’re staying overnight on the island and are wary of crowds, you can expect this to thin out after 3 PM, when the last of the day tour boats have left the island.
