Located in the town of Tibiao Antique, Tibiao River is an eco-adventure tourist spot perfect for friends and family having a vacation. It’s just a few hours away from Boracay, Iloilo, Kalibo and Caticlan. Its pristine, cool waters are unique on its own; making it the perfect kayaking river for beginners and advanced white water rafters.

One of the most exciting things to do in Tibiao River is to try kayaking. Perfect for thrill-seekers, courses areavailable for one’s learning and enjoyment. Kayaking can be done alone or in tandem, and it totally depends on your preference.

This recreational activity has 4 courses. Grade 1 is perfect for anyone wanting to learn the basics of kayaking, which includes paddling in the calm, cool waters of the river. Grade 2 is for those wanting to paddle through big stones and rapids, which means getting oriented with a higher skill in kayaking. Grades 3 to 4 are for professionals only, as it involves paddling in the strong currents of the river, through the big boulders of the waters. Every course has an experienced guide, perfect for a safe, adrenaline rush adventure during your vacation.

How to get there

Take a flight to Kalibo or Caticlan, then ride a tricycle going to Ceres Bus Terminal at the town proper. Afterwards, ride a bus bound to Antique, and tell the bus conductor to drop you off at Brgy. Importante, Tibiao.
