Information about Turtle Point
Turtle Point
Moalboal is one of the finest places in the Philippines to explore. It is situated on Cebu's West Coast and has the island's most westward-poking coastline. As a result, it has some incredible coral and sea life. The majority of visitors come to snorkel with turtles.
Moalboal is well-known for the massive turtles that inhabit its waters. In reality, there are so many that it would be difficult not to see one when snorkeling in Moalboal.
If you haven't already, try to stay in the shallower waters near to shore, right before the drop-off wall of coral. After a bit, you'll probably catch one of the turtles down on some new sea grass.
How to get there
There is a public bus that operates often from Cebu to Moalboal and also further south to Oslob. It will take about three hours to ride from the South Bus Terminal to Moalboal.
Best time to visit
It is best to visit Turtle Island during summer, from November to May.
