Alapad Hills
Alapad Hills can be found on the island of Batan in Batanes, and it is a popular spot for tourists, thanks to its stunning views of verdant hills and the Pacific Ocean. Among Filipinos, it is also known as the filming location of an iconic scene in the 1991 movie “Hihintayin Kita sa Langit,” featuring actress Dawn Zulueta and actor Richard Gomez.
It is also nearby the Alapad Rock Formation, and the two tourist attractions are usually visited one right after the other. Along the way to these two destinations, tourists will go through Alapad Pass, part of the coastal road that cuts through the famous rock formation.
Best time to visit
Like many of Batanes’ top tourist attractions, Alapad Hills is an outdoor spot, so it’s best to visit it during the dry months, when the chance of rainfall is low. This usually happens from March to June.
