Batanes is known for its rolling verdant hills, and one of the places where you can appreciate breathtaking views of hills and the sea is Motchong Viewpoint. Batanes is already usually crowd-free, but Motchong Viewpoint in South Batan is one of the tourist spots in Batanes where you'll find fewer tourists. 

When you arrive at the viewpoint, you will be greeted with a spectacular sight of beautiful hills and the distant sea, as well as a refreshing breeze. The viewpoint also allows you to get close to a cliff, so you can see where the land meets the waters of the Philippine Sea below. 

Best time to visit

Like most of Batanes' top tourist spots, Motchong Viewpoint is an outdoor attraction, which means it's best to visit it during the dry months when there is only a small chance of rainfall. This usually falls from March to June.
