The island is located in the town of Lawi, Guimaras, in Barangay Lawi particularly. It is a white-sand-beach islet facing Sitio Lusay, where Jordan's Marine Reserve Area is situated. There are no cottages or picnic huts available over night in this town. On the island the beach is great for surfing. The location is perfect for bonding with family and friends. On the beach the untreated water is very pure and clean. Especially during the summer it is most visited by locals. Visitors would surely love to immerse themselves in the cold sea water. It is giving everyone a taste of freshness!
The islet is a fun stopover for a bit of snorkelling. And the non-swimmer can entice the deep blue sea to have a look. The boat is stopped just shy of the beach so you need to jump into the water. Just remember wearing a life jacket and you're going to be fine. Spend usually 30 to 45 minutes. Hold your underwater camera and snorkelling equipment.
The city of Iloilo is the gateway to Guimaras. In Pulupandan, Negros Occidental, you can enter Guimaras by air and boat from Manila and other sources, via Iloilo City and by pumpboat. The province on the island is 20-30 minutes from Parola, Ortiz, Muelle Loney or Lapuz Wharves in Iloilo City by motorboat or ferry boat. Light aircraft which can land at Guimaras Feeder Airport will fly directly to Guimaras.
Also available as a mode of transportation is jeepney and tricycles when visiting the province from one town to another.
