Ave Maria Island

Ave Maria island is located in the town of Lawi in the Guimaras province. Boasting powdery white sand, it is a great place to stop by during an island-hopping tour in the area. As it is a small and lesser known island, there are no cottages here that you can stay for the night so it is only suited for stopovers during the day. During a visit here, you can lounge on the smooth shore to soak up some sun and work on your tan. You can also wade into the surrounding clear waters for a refreshing swim or plunge under the waves to see what species of marine animals call the area home.
Best time to visit
As an island-hopping spot, it is best to visit Ave Maria Islet during the summer (March to May) as there are fewer chances of rainfall then.
