Information about Dao Waterfalls
Dao Waterfalls
Dao Waterfalls is located in South Cebu in the municipality of Samboan. At over 100 meters, it is the tallest one in the municipality. The falls is known for its limestone walls that surround the basin that the water gently flows down to and its calm cascade that is quieter than most falls in the Philippines.
Getting to the falls requires a bit of a trek. Some paths are paved, but other paths can be slippery and challenging. Along the way, you’ll also pass by beautiful sceneries, including hills, forests, canyons, and even a hanging bamboo bridge. You will also pass by small pools with milky blue waters.
Tickets and entry
To get to the falls, you need to pay a minimal entrance fee, which comes with a guide. If you are bringing a vehicle with you, note that there is a parking fee at the jump-off point.
Best time to visit
The trail to the waterfalls can be very slippery, especially after it rains, so if you want a smoother trek, the best time to visit Dao Waterfalls is during the dry months, which usually are March to May.
