Information about Mainit Hot Spring
Mainit Hot Spring
Malabuyoc is one of Cebu Province's most stunning natural wonders and wealth. Among its natural wonders is the well-hidden but well-known Mainit Hot Spring. It is concealed mostly due to its simplicity and distance, and not everyone can visit the place because they have a strong urge to experience its natural beauty.
The term mainit means ‘hot’. This hot spring, which is also near a waterfall, originates in the interior of two mountains. Only a short distance away, you can also find more than 5 waterfalls of different heights and severity.
The spring itself has not been completely unaffected by creation. Someone partly constructed a concrete wall to create a shallow pool of hot spring water into which you can dip.
However, near the hot spring, you can find your own room, lay on your back, and maybe use a rock as a pillow, wow! Bathing in the bright spring light.
How to get there
Mainit Hot Springs is about 20 minutes away from Montpeller Falls by scooter. Return down the hill to the highway and head south for a few minutes. When you cross the Montaneza Bridge, look for a fading blue tourist sign that says "Mainit Hot Springs" and turn left.
Best time to visit
You can visit this attraction anytime, but it’s better to go during summer season, from November to May.
