Homoron Blue Lagoon
Homoron Blue Lagoon is one of Philippines' natural resources and is located in Mahatao, Batanes. This lagoon is concealed by rocky cliffs near the road connecting Mahatao and Ivana.
From the roadside, walk towards the white beach, where you'll note the area's beautiful high
stone cliffs. The lagoon is also known as Spanish Lagoon because during the time of Spanish colonization, only Spaniards were permitted to swim in the region. Take note the lagoon is now accessible to both locals and visitors.
There is so much to anticipate in this place, from the breathtaking view to the smooth waves and refreshing air. It is a tranquil haven surrounded by deep blue green scenery.
How to get there
Take a tricycle from Basco town proper. Alternatively, you can ride a motorcycle or bicycle south on the national route. You can also join a South Batan tour.
Best time to visit
Visit Homoron Blue Lagoon during the summer months in Batanes, from March to May, to get the full experience.
