How to get there

If you're driving a private car, take the Pan-Philippine Highway (AH26) and head towards the town of Burgos. The drive is approximately 45 kilometers and takes around an hour. Then, look for signs leading to Kapurpurawan Rock Formation, and you will turn left onto a smaller road that will take you directly to the site. 

If you're coming from Manila, take an overnight bus from Manila to Laoag City. The journey takes about 10-12 hours. From Laoag City, take a bus or van bound for Pagudpud or any bus passing through Burgos. Inform the driver or conductor that you are getting off at Burgos for the Kapurpurawan Rock Formation. Once in Burgos, hire a tricycle to take you to the Kapurpurawan Rock Formation. The tricycle ride takes around 15-20 minutes.

The rock formation is about 3 kilometers from the main highway, so to see it up close, you need to walk along a ragged road or go horseback riding.
