Marka-a Island

Marka-a Island is a small uninhabited islet situated near Bucas Grande Island in Surigao del Norte. It is usually a part of island-hopping tours in the area and is best known for its spotless white sand and its surrounding clear waters that are perfect for snorkeling. It is also a usual stopover where tourists on island-hopping tours can enjoy their lunch. While you wait for your guide and the crew to prepare the food, you can soak up some sun on the shore or go snorkeling to get a glimpse of the thriving marine life nearby. As you peek underneath the water's surface, you will find colorful corals and various species of fish that call this area home.

Best time to visit

As a popular island-hopping tour destination, it is best to visit Marka-a Island in the summer time, which usually starts in March and ends in May.
