Popularly called Pagtenga Island by the locals, North Cay is a small island located in Busuanga, Palawan. It is known as the island where sea turtles lay and hatch their eggs during the summer, The Island is gaining more popularity among tourists who are looking for a more tranquil destination.

North Cay Island is one of Palawan’s best-kept secrets that boasts of its crystal-clear water ideal for snorkeling. Just off the shore, scuba divers or even non-divers can enjoy a spectacular view of corals and its colorful marine life. 

A leisurely swim in the island’s rock pools is another activity to take delight in. One of the main attractions of the island is the giant clam sanctuary. On a good day, tourists can swim to check out the sanctuary. However, if the current is strong, guests are strongly advised to stay away from the water.
