Red Rock Hot Spring 

The Red Rock Hot Spring is a popular attraction in Valencia, Negros Oriental. It gets its name from the rust-color rocks that cover the area and the natural hot springs. It also features the nearby Pulangbato Falls, which also got its name from the actual red hues of the rocks. Sit back, relax, and enjoy the vibrant hues of the Red Rock Hot Spring.

The rocks turned a rusty hue due to oxidation,  which occurs when minerals such as iron are exposed to oxygen and water. However, there is nothing to worry about regarding the safety of the waters. Anyone can freely soak and relax in the warm waters of the hot spring, as the water temperature usually ranges from 37.5 to 39.5 degrees Celsius. This makes the hot spring a go-to for people who wish to relax their aching muscles. In fact, the locals also believe that the hot spring provides relief for various health concerns such as asthma and arthritis.

Best time to visit

It's best to visit in the dry season, which generally starts in December and ends in May. 

Entrance and tickets

Visitors must pay a minimal entrance fee before being able to take a dip in the hot spring pools. You may also rent nearby gazebos and picnic huts for a separate price, depending on the size.
