A definite must-see when in Subic is its golden sunset at Subic Bay Boardwalk, a strip of sand and clear waters that is free for anyone to visit. Located along Subic Freeport Zone, this boardwalk is a great place to find peace and quiet in the bustling commercial city. Its beachfront is also a great place for a picnic with your loved ones, a peaceful stroll along the beach, or a walk through the tree-filled Malawaan park.
The boardwalk is also a known venue for some of Subic’s big events, so lucky tourists can enjoy some live music or other entertainment events while admiring the scenic beachside. People from all backgrounds meet here, especially during the countdown for the New Year, to enjoy the festivities.
Best time to visit
It's best to head to the Subic Bay Boardwalk during the dry season (December to May), especially from 5 PM onwards, as this is usually when the sun starts to set.
