Information about Talamban Cave
Talamban Cave
Talamban Cave is located in the barangay of Boac, a small town in Marinduque. The front of the cave, which is located near the Talamban mountain range, resembles a church entry door because it is constructed of large white stones. The early Balagasan forefathers are thought to have lived in this cave while hiding from Spanish soldiers, according to locals.
Talamban Cave consists of two distinct caverns that are around 100 meters apart. The larger one provides spelunkers with a more thrilling route and may be explored with rappel ropes, while the small one is for beginners and casual spelunkers. The cave includes antiques like statues and tableware.
