Day 2: Cultural & Heritage Tour

On your first full day in Baguio, savor the chilly weather while enjoying your complimentary breakfast. After your meal, get ready to visit Baguio sites with the cultural and heritage tour. It starts with a trip to Camp John Hay, a former U.S. military base converted to a tourist attraction with historical sites such as The Bell House, amphitheater, and multi-level garden as must-see places.

Next, you’ll visit The Mansion House, the official summer residence of Presidents of the Philippines since the Commonwealth period. Right across is Wright Park, a Baguio tourist mainstay that features the Pool of Pines, leafy walkways, and horses for rent. Then, you’ll visit Good Shepherd Convent, where you can buy traditional “pasalubong” or souvenir products like “ube” jam and strawberry preserves. Afterward, you’ll go to Baguio Botanical Garden or the Igorot Village to see native huts surrounded by lots of plants, flowers, and trees endemic in the area.

Your 8-hour tour will conclude with a few more places on the itinerary, starting with jewelry shopping of handmade pieces at the Silver Craft shop. Finally, you’ll visit the Baguio Cathedral near Session Road, the infamous haunted Diplomat Hotel in the Dominican Hill, and the Mirador Retreat House for sunset viewing.

Day 3
Weaving display at Museo Cordillera

Day 3: Arts & Museum Tour

It’s another full day to savor the Baguio weather, so fuel up with a complimentary plated breakfast meal. Today’s Arts and Museum tour begins in Casa Vallejo, the oldest hotel in the city. Established in 1909, it is situated at the heart of the city along upper Session Road. Afterward, you’ll proceed to the Baguio Museum, where cultural artifacts and dioramas of Ifugao traditional homes are displayed. Your immersion in local culture continues at the Museo Cordillera, an ethnographic museum that aims to preserve the indigenous heritage of people from the Cordillera Administrative Region.

The next leg of the trip features artistic communities in Baguio, starting with a visit to the Ili-Likha Artist Village, a food and art hub founded by film director “Kidlat Tahimik”. This is followed by a visit to the Easter Weaving Room, a great place to observe weavers in action. Hand-loomed items created using traditional methods are sold at the adjacent shop.

The next artist colony included on the itinerary is called Tam-Awan Village, a venue that doubles as an open-air museum of a reconstructed Cordillera village and an exhibition place for workshops. Up next is the BenCab museum, where the national artist’s permanent painting collection is displayed, followed by the Ifugao Woodcarvers Village to end the tour.
