After your guide fetches you from your accommodations in Puerto Princesa City, you'll start your trip with a visit to the Iwahig Penal Colony. This prison dates back to 1902 and is best known as the "Prison Without Walls" as it is only bordered by a medium-high fence since the staff trusts the detainees to stay within the grounds and serve their time by helping on the on-site farm and other tasks. During a visit here, you can see the farm and more.
Afterward, you'll head to the Palawan Wildlife Rescue and Conservation Center. Spanning 10 hectares, this center is best known for rescuing endemic crocodiles. You can also have an up-close encounter with some of them to better understand these interesting reptiles. From there, you'll continue to Mitra Ranch and Baker's Hill, located on a hillside overlooking Puerto Princesa City.
Then, you'll make your way to the Palawan Butterfly Garden, where you can walk amidst several species of colorful butterflies. Following your stroll here, you'll go to a local weaving site where Palawan artisans create vibrant textiles using traditional weaving methods. You will then head to the Palawan Museum, where you can learn more about the city and the island through various exhibits featuring artifacts and more.
You will also have the option to stop by the Immaculate Conception Cathedral before visiting the Plaza Cuartel. This plaza has been recognized as a historical site by the National Historical Commission of the Philippines and is a great place to stop and rest. Finally, you will end your tour with a walk along Baywalk Park.
