Daily itinerary

Day 1
San Agustin Church is a UNESCO World Heritage Site which can be found inside Intramuros in Manila

Day 1 - Day 1: Arrival in Manila + Check-in

On Day 1 of this Philippines itinerary, you will arrive at Ninoy Aquino International Airport, where a car or van will be waiting for you. You’ll check in at your deluxe-level accommodations. After checking in, you are free to explore the nearby areas on your own, or you may book an add-on shared walking tour of Intramuros in Manila.

If you want to explore the historical city, you can choose between a morning tour or a night tour. Choose the morning tour, and you will see sites like the Manila Cathedral, a religious site that has distinct Neo-Romanesque architecture. You will also visit Casa Manila, a museum that houses Spanish colonial period design elements and furniture. Another stop on this tour is Fort Santiago, which has stood as a citadel in the walled city of Intramuros since 1593.

You will also get to see Fort Santiago and Casa Manila if you choose to go on the night tour, but be forewarned that this tour will tackle the dark history of the walled city and may be graphic when it comes to detailing the atrocities that happened during the war. Other stops in the night tour include the Philippine Military Academy and the Memorare-Manila 1945, which honors the fallen civilians who lost their lives during the Battle of Manila in World War II.
