Day 1 - Day 1: Arrival in Manila + Check-in
On Day 1 of this Philippines itinerary, you will arrive at Ninoy Aquino International Airport, where a car or van will be waiting for you. You’ll check in at your deluxe-level accommodations. After checking in, you are free to explore the nearby areas on your own, or you may book an add-on shared walking tour of Intramuros in Manila.
If you want to explore the historical city, you can choose between a morning tour or a night tour. Choose the morning tour, and you will see sites like the Manila Cathedral, a religious site that has distinct Neo-Romanesque architecture. You will also visit Casa Manila, a museum that houses Spanish colonial period design elements and furniture. Another stop on this tour is Fort Santiago, which has stood as a citadel in the walled city of Intramuros since 1593.
You will also get to see Fort Santiago and Casa Manila if you choose to go on the night tour, but be forewarned that this tour will tackle the dark history of the walled city and may be graphic when it comes to detailing the atrocities that happened during the war. Other stops in the night tour include the Philippine Military Academy and the Memorare-Manila 1945, which honors the fallen civilians who lost their lives during the Battle of Manila in World War II.
Day 2 - Day 2: Arrival in Laoag + Laoag City Heritage Attractions, Paoay Lake, Church & Sand Dunes Day Tour + Check-in

Today you will tour some of Laoag City’s top attractions. St. Williams Cathedral, a 17th-century church, is the first attraction of the day. One of its most popular draws is its bell tower, which is said to be sinking. The Sinking Bell Tower is estimated to have been constructed during the 18th century, and it used to have a large clock. Your next stop is Aurora Park. During the 16th century, Aurora Park was said to be the heart of the city. Now, it is in front of the Laoag City Hall and is home to the historic Tobacco Monopoly Monument. The next location you will visit is Paoay town. It is the site of the Malacanang of the North, which was the former residence of the 10th President of the Philippines, Ferdinand Marcos. Also in the town of Paoay is Paoay Church. You will get to visit a UNESCO World Heritage Site as this church is also included in the collective Baroque Churches of the Philippines.

You will check out of your Laoag accommodations and head to Vigan in Ilocos Sur. Your complimentary Vigan Tour will take you to religious structures, historical sites, and even a zoo. The first stop of the day is the historic Bantay Church and Bell Tower. Bantay Church was first built during the 16th century, but it sustained heavy damages during World War II and was rebuilt during the 1950s. On the other hand, its bell tower has remained intact. You will then visit St. Paul Cathedral, an 18th-century Earthquake Baroque Church. It has the country’s only Archbishop Palace, which was built during the Spanish colonization period.
The next stop is another UNESCO World Heritage site, Calle Crisologo. This picturesque street features old Spanish structures and cobblestone roads. For more information on the Philippine lifestyle during the Spanish era, the Crisologo Museum is a good place to visit. This ancestral house has well-preserved memorabilia of the political Crisologo family.
