Baltazar Island

Baltazar Island is part of Marinduque’s Tres Reyes Islands. All three were named after the three kings in the Bible, the other two being Melchor and Gaspar Islands. The Tres Reyes Islands can be found in the municipality of Gasan.

Baltazar Island is known as a great diving spot, not just among the three islands, but for the whole province. Those who are adventurous enough can also explore the underwater cave. You can also find an old lighthouse on the island, one that was built during the American period.

Best time to visit

Island-hopping in Marinduque is best done during the hotter months. Usually, this falls from March to May, but you can still visit the island outside of this period if the weather permits.
