For 10 days, you will visit tourist-favorite attractions and hidden ones as well. In Manila, you’ll tour the historic area of Intramuros. Enclosed in its walls are museums, historic buildings, and green spaces. You’ll also get to visit Calle Crisologo in Vigan. With its well-preserved structures, it’s like traveling back in time to the Spanish Colonial period.

This vacation package will also take you to Camp John Hay in Baguio, a popular tourist destination where you can simply relax and enjoy the fresh ambiance. You’ll then go on a fun 4x4 ride and trek towards a beautiful crater lake at Mt. Pinatubo.

Day 1

Baluarte de San Diego inside Intramuros in Manila

Day 1 - Day 1: Intramuros Tour

On your first day in the Philippines, you’ll stay in the capital city of the country, Manila. Your tour will be in Intramuros, which is a walled area within the city. You’ll first visit the Italian-Spanish Fort Santiago, a defense fortress built back in 1590. It was completed in 1593 and then renovated in 1733. At Plaza Roma, you will find the monument dedicated to King Charles IV of Spain. It was first erected in 1824 and then reinstalled in 1981. You’ll get a better grasp of the history of Manila in the upcoming attractions: Bahay Tsinoy and Casa Manila. The former has a focus on the Ethnic Chinese while the latter highlights the Spanish Colonial era. At San Diego Gardens, you will come upon a nice park with pergolas and gazebos. It can be rented out for special events. Right across it is the Baluarte De San Diego. This old stone fort used to be a tower. Throughout the centuries, this National Cultural Treasure has survived earthquakes and wars. Another centuries-old attraction is the San Agustin Church and Museum. It is the oldest stone church in the Philippines and was constructed in 1586. It was then completed in 1607. Your final stop for the day is the country’s premier church, the Manila Cathedral. It is also the site of the episcopal seat or throne of Manila’s Archbishop.

Day 2 - Day 2: Ilocos Norte Laoag Tour

You’ll be flying off to Ilocos Norte for your Day 2 tour. The flight from Ninoy Aquino International Airport to Laoag International Airport should only take an hour. From the airport, Laoag City is more or less 10km away. Your first attraction of the day is St. Williams Cathedral, which was built in 1612. It was formerly a wooden parish church constructed in 1580. Just a few steps from the cathedral is the Sinking Bell Tower. Due to the soft land and the heavy stones of the belfry, it is said that the structure is sinking into the ground. You can learn more about the rich culture and heritage as well as the history of the region at Museo Ilocos. There’s also a tidbit of the past you can find out at Aurora Park. It's the site of the 19th-century Tobacco Monopoly Monument. The town of Paoay is next on the itinerary. The first stop will be the Malacanang of the North. It is a presidential museum that was the former residence of Ferdinand Marcos, the 10th President of the Philippines. The next is Paoay Church, an Earthquake Baroque building completed in 1710. Before the tour ends, you will also visit the Marcos Museum, also known as The Ferdinand E. Marcos Presidential Center. This museum used to house the crypt of the former President.

Day 3

Day 3 - Day 3: Ilocos Sur Vigan Tour

After visiting the north, it’s time to head south. Day 3 is your Ilocos Sur Vigan Tour. You will be visiting the UNESCO World Heritage City of Vigan and the nearby town of Bantay. You’ll also get to stay in a hotel on the popular Calle Crisolgo. The National Museum Ilocos Sur Complex is a great place to get a deeper understanding of the history and heritage of the region. Then, you’ll head to Bantay Church and Bell Tower in the neighboring town, which isn’t too far off from the city. During the Spanish Colonial era, the bell tower was even used as a watch tower for Vigan. At Syquia Mansion Museum, you can marvel at the architecture of the 19th century building as well as its preserved furniture. Then at Pagburnayan Jar Factory, you can know more about the traditional handcrafted pottery industry. At the Crisologo Museum, you’ll get to visit the ancestral house of the Crisologo political family. St. Paul Metropolitan Cathedral, also known as Vigan Cathedral, is your next destination. This Earthquake Baroque church building is beside the only remaining palace of the Archbishop from the Spanish colonial era in the country. At Baluarte, you’ll find yourself in an interactive zoo. Some of the animals freely roam around the expansive complex. It also has a safari gallery and a few rare animals in captivity.

Day 4

Day 4 - Day 4: Sagada Tour

You are going to leave Vigan City in the wee hours of the morning to make your way up to Sagada. This peaceful town is located in the Cordillera regions. You can expect the ride to be long and a bit bumpy but it will definitely be worth it. Sagada has breathtaking views and interesting attractions that are distinctly theirs. They also have a rich heritage and long-standing traditions. You’ll see a good example at the first attraction you will visit, the Sugong Cave. This is the location of the hanging coffins. This traditional burial has been practiced for thousands of years. This practice is also done in countries like China and Indonesia. You’ll pass by Echo Valley on the way to the hanging coffins. This natural area has lush greeneries and caverns. Loud noises reverberate in the area, that’s why it is called Echo Valley. At Sumaguing Cave, you’ll get to explore one of the many caves of Sagada. There are amazing geological formations within the cave as well as natural pools. Be careful, the water is freezing cold. Before the end of the day, you will pay a visit to the Bontoc Tribal Museum. It has an excellent collection of native artifacts that can tell you more about the indigenous tribes of the Cordillera Mountains.

Day 5

Day 5 - Day 5: Banaue Tour

Your trip will now take you to the breathtaking Banaue, home to the rice terraces. The distance from Sagada to Banaue is about 85km. You’ll then be making your way to the town of Batad. Apart from the amphitheater-like rice terraces, this area also has a lot of paddy fields. You can get a better view of the terraces from the Batad Banaue Viewpoint. To reach this site, you need to go on a 30-minute hike. If you want something a little more exciting, you can trade Batad Banaue Viewpoint for a visit to the Tappiya Waterfall. This wonderful natural site can be reached by trekking. If natural sites don’t really appeal to you, you may also opt to visit the quiet Banga-an Village. This small community has less than 30 families. Some of the houses in the village are still the traditional kind. Huts with cogon roofing and the ground floor occupied by livestock. After going on to your chosen second destination, you’ll wrap up your tour at the Banaue Museum. You’ll get a deeper understanding of the tribes that inhabit the region. There are displays of the jewelry they use to determine the people’s social statuses to the tools used and prizes received by warrior hunters.

Day 6

Day 6 - Day 6: Baguio Tour

It’s time to visit the City of Pines, Baguio. This city is located 1,470m above sea level. It’s a favorite tourist destination by locals, favored for its cool climate. The city has numerous attractions and you’ll get to visit 9 of them. The first is the Ifugao Museum, which has a good collection of Ifugao artifacts. Next, you will go to the Surrender Site of General Yamashita. World War II in the country started and ended in the city. Baguio City is home to the Philippine Military Academy. Any aspiring military officers need to attend this institution. The Mansion is also in Baguio City. This is where the serving President resides during their stay in the Summer Capital of the Philippines. The next attraction is Camp John Hay. This used to be the military base of the USA. Now, it has become a top-notch tourist destination with its dining and shopping establishments plus hotels. You’ll get to view more green spaces and inhale fresh air in the following attractions. At Mines View Park, you can enjoy an amazing view of the mountains as well as a defunct mining town from a view deck. Wright Park offers scenic views and also horseback riding facilities. Situated in the Botanical Gardens, Centennial Park is a good place to spot natural fauna and flora. At the Good Shepherd Convent, you can purchase souvenirs and tasty treats. Some of the best-sellers in this shop are the ube and the peanut brittle.

Day 7

Day 7 - Day 7: Mt. Pinatubo Tour

On Day 7, you will go down the mountains and head towards Mt. Pinatubo in the province of Tarlac. This volcano is infamous for its 1991 eruption, the effects of which were felt throughout the world. Out of the eruption also came something good, Mt. Pinatubo has a caldera that has since turned into a crater lake. It is now a popular tourist destination. Be sure to wear comfortable clothes as you will go hiking on this day. Once you have reached the base camp of Mt. Pinatubo, you will transfer to a 4x4 jeep. The terrain of the area, as a consequence of the eruption, has become craggy. Your 4x4 vehicle can only take you so far and the rest of the way towards the crater lake must be done on foot. The trail is a bit long but it can definitely be done by beginners. And since this day is dedicated to the Mt. Pinatubo Tour alone, there’s no need to rush. Once you have finished your hike, you will be rewarded with an amazing view. It’s definitely an Instagram-worthy backdrop, the blue lake surrounded by the crater. After the Mt. Pinatubo tour, your van will take you to your hotel in Manila along Baywalk.

Day 8

Day 8 - Day 8: Bohol Countryside Tour

Your van will pick you up from your hotel in Manila and take you to the airport. It’s a short flight to Bohol and you will land at Panglao International Airport. Your tour will start at Corella Tarsier Sanctuary where you are going to meet one of the world’s smallest primates. If you want to take a photo of the tarsier, you need to turn off the flash as their large eyes are sensitive to the light. The next destination on your Bohol Countryside Tour is the popular Loboc River Cruise. You will ride a floating restaurant that goes through the pristine Loboc River. After that, you’ll visit the historic Baclayon Church. Its old convent has been repurposed to house its museum. At the Butterfly Conservatory, you’ll get to know more about the colorful, winged insects. It shows the lifespan of the butterfly and it also houses a number of local species. The next stop is located along the road connecting the towns of Loay and Bilar. Bilar Forest is no ordinary land attraction. The 2km stretch of mahogany trees in the forest were planted one by one. The Chocolate Hills is the highlight of your countryside tour. This amazing geological formation has over a thousand hills sitting seemingly right next to each other. The dry season turns the grass brown making the hills look like chocolates.

Day 9

Day 9 - Day 9. Bohol Pamilacan Island Tour

On your 9th vacation day, you will be exploring Pamilacan Island. It is located in the middle of the Bohol Sea and is more or less 10km away from the mainland. During the boat ride to the island, you may want to keep a lookout for sea creatures like whales or dolphins. Back in the 90s, Pamilacan Island’s main source of living was whale and manta ray hunting. Hunting has since been banned and the locals have focused on tourism. You can expect to find white sand beaches once you reach the island. The surrounding waters have rich marine life and you can go snorkeling. Pamilacan Island is a popular dive site and it has an area where bucket sponges, sea turtles, moray eels, and sea snakes can be spotted. The land area is quite small and you can explore the island easily. There are only more or less a thousand people living on Pamilacan Island. You may want to check out the remains of a historical tower on the island. It’s a 200-year-old fort that the Spaniards used to watch out for pirates. After your Pamilacan Island Tour, you will return to your accommodation in Panglao.

Day 10

Day 10 - Day 10: Departure to Manila

It’s the end of your 10-day trip and you will leave Bohol. Your van will pick you up from your accommodation in Panglao Island and take you to the airport. The flight from Panglao International Airport to Manila is a little over an hour. You will land at Ninoy Aquino International Airport.
