A public square called Plaza Roma lies in the heart of Intramuros. It was used as a venue for different events during the Spanish colonization. The walled city also has museums, including Bahay Tsinoy that tells the history of the Ethnic Chinese and the Casa Manila that showcases the country's lifestyle during the Spanish colonial period.
This tour will also take you to San Diego Gardens, which boasts well-manicured lawns. Nearby is Baluarte De San Diego, a bastion constructed during the 1590s. Next, you will visit the oldest Philippine stone church, San Agustin Church and Museum. You'll end your tour at the episcopal seat of the Archbishop of Manila, Manila Cathedral.
Day 2 will be an exciting trip to the Summer Capital of the Philippines, Baguio. The city has a cool climate since it stands at 5,200ft above sea level, so be sure to dress warmly for this day. You'll be visiting historic sites and lush parks during the tour.
First in the itinerary will be the Philippine Military Academy, which was built in 1898. It is a premier educational institution for Filipinos aspiring for a commission as military officers. From there, your guide will take you to The Mansion, the summer palace of the Philippine President. Then, you'll visit the famous Camp John Hay, which used to be a military base of the United States Armed Forces.
From there, your guide will take you to some of the relaxing parks in Baguio, starting at Mines View Park. Here, you will be rewarded with an overlooking view of the Itogon mining town and its abandoned gold mines. You will also go to Wright Park, known for its Pool of Pines and horseback riding rentals. Next is Centennial Park, where you will find a bronze sculpture and lush gardens.
Finally, you will make a stop at Good Sphered Convent. This convent offers tasty local products, including Baguio's best-selling purple yam. Your van will then take you to your Baguio hotel.
On the third day, you will be exploring another top tourist destination in Northern Luzon, the Province of Benguet. This place also has a cool climate as it sits in an elevated area. Many farms dot Benguet, and one of these is the La Trinidad Strawberry Farm. This attraction is open to the public, allowing visitors to pick strawberries for a fee.
The province is also home to Atok Sakura Flowers, where locals planted more than 30 Sakura trees back in 2016. These trees will soon bloom every year. Less than 4km is another attraction packed with lovely flowers. Northern Blossom is known for its many colorful flowers such as cabbage roses, snapdragons, larkspurs, Matthiola, and more.
Next, you will head to an even higher place, the 2nd Highest Point. This site has the second-highest altitude in the Philippines, having an elevation of 7,400ft above sea level. It is situated along the Halsema Highway that connects Benguet with the Mountain Province.
Lastly, you will visit the man-made Spanish Trail, which was constructed during the Spanish colonization. This attraction extends up to 3km long and has cave-like tunnels. You will then head back to your hotel in Manila.
Day 4 will be for visiting the province of Bohol in the Visayas. In particular, you will be learning about an interesting village in Bohol. Right after checking out from your accommodation, you will head to Ninoy Aquino International Airport and board a plane. You will arrive at Panglao International Airport.
The village you will visit for this day is named Cambuhat. It is located in the town of Buenavista on the northwestern side of Bohol. Your van will drop you off at Daet Bridge, where you will board a paddleboat.
The boat will pass through Cambuhat River with nipa palms and mangroves that will lead you to the village's Cambuhat Oyster Farm. You will also discover a small visitor's center on the banks of the river. During the tour, you will learn all about oyster culture and get the chance to sample some fresh oysters.
While you dine, locals will entertain you with a traditional dance known as the Buri dance. Afterward, you will see how they make woven products out of native looms. You will then return to Daet Bridge, and your van will bring you to your accommodation on Panglao Island.
The fifth day of the vacation package is dedicated to a paradise-like island called Pamilacan, situated in the middle of the Bohol Sea. It is around 12.5km from mainland Bohol. Pamilacan Island is famous for its whale shark and dolphin-watching activities, so be sure to be alert as you may spot these magnificent sea creatures on your way to the island.
Pamilacan Island is currently inhabited by less than 2,000 people or about 240 families. Although the place is occupied, its natural beauty remains. It offers visitors white sand beaches, clear blue waters, and a peaceful environment ideal for unwinding.
Apart from swimming and sunbathing, you will also be free to explore the island's underwater world. The place is, in fact, renowned for excellent snorkeling and diving sites. Here, you can spot sea turtles, sea snakes, schools of fish, and bucket sponges, among others.
You may also interact with the locals and learn about their daily life and livelihood. Before leaving the place, you may want to visit a 200-year-old Spanish on the island's northeastern side. As soon as you reach mainland Bohol, you will return to your Panglao hotel for a well-deserved rest.
On Day 6, you will be discovering what lies in the rich countryside of Bohol. From Panglao Island, you will travel to Corella Tarsier Sanctuary via van. Your tour in the province of Bohol will not be complete without visiting these small primates. Be sure to turn off your camera's flash as the tarsiers' eyes are big and sensitive.
After seeing these tiny creatures, you will go on a Loboc River Cruise. You will climb aboard a floating restaurant that will slowly move through the emerald waters of the river. You may enjoy various local dishes while the locals perform cultural presentations. After cruising, you will head to Baclayon Church. This Neoclassical Church is declared a National Cultural Treasure.
The Butterfly Conservatory comes next. You will find not only a garden with colorful blossoms but also dozens of butterfly species. You will also see the man-made Bilar. It is a 2-kilometer stretch of mahogany trees located at the border where the towns Bilar and Loboc meet.
Before traveling back to your accommodation on Panglao Island, you will drop by the world-famous Chocolate Hills. This natural attraction comprises over 1,000 mounds, the highest of which is 120m.
For Day 7, you will discover the historical, cultural, and religious attractions in Cebu City. Cebu is the oldest city in the Philippines and is nicknamed the Queen City of the South. You will leave the province of Bohol and travel to the island province of Cebu via ferry.
Your first stop here will be at the Taoist Temple. One of the unique features of this attraction is its entrance that looks like the Great Wall of China. Next will be the Basilica Minore Del Santo Nino. Built during the 16th century, it is the oldest Roman Catholic Church in the country. Standing outside the church is the popular Magellan's Cross.
Almost 2km away is the Heritage of Cebu Monument, which depicts the major historical events in Cebu. A short walk away is the Yap - San Diego Ancestral House, the oldest residence in Cebu. Badian is popular for its Kawasan Falls, a multi-layered waterfall system that boasts turquoise waters. Besides the three main falls, this natural attraction also has pools, lagoons, and jungle trails. Those looking for adventure can add canyoneering to their itinerary, which involves trekking, swimming, rappelling, and more.
From Badian, your van will take you to the neighboring town of Moalboal. This place is famous among divers because of its outstanding coral ecosystem. It is also the starting point for your island hopping tour. You will first go to Pescador Island. With its rich marine life, the island is a favorite site for snorkeling and diving.
After that is Turtle Island. While you are snorkeling underwater, expect to find sea turtles swimming by. Lastly, you will see the famous Sardine Run at Panagsama Beach. This natural phenomenon is made up of millions of sardines swimming together. You will go back to your Mandaue hotel afterward.
