Get to know the rich cultural heritage of Davao City and set foot on various historical landmarks on this half-day tour of the Gateway City of Mindanao. You will visit several tourist spots namely Magsaysay Park, Lon Wah Buddhist Temple, Cacao City, Pasalubong Center, Cheese Farmhouse, Sanggunian ng Davao, Peace Pact Monument, San Pedro Church, China Town, and Bahay ni Digong and Apo ni Lola. This sightseeing and walking tour includes a knowledgeable tour guide and transfer services with pick up and drop off points within Davao City, all planned within a 5 hour period.

First stop is at Magsaysay Park. Located in the city’s downtown area, the park is famous for the Kadayawan Village, a place that depicts the way of life of indigenous and ethnic tribes of Davao. After witnessing the life-size exhibits in the village, you’ll proceed to the largest Buddhist temple in Mindanao, the Lon Wah Buddhist Temple. Up next is Cacao City, a shop located in the Pasalubong Center that carries Davao made cacao and chocolate products. Aside from chocolate, Davao city also produces artisanal cheese at the Malagos Cheese Farmhouse. Owned by the Puentespina family, they sell cheese like goat’s cheese, feta, ricotta, chèvre among others

On the next leg of the tour, you’ll head over to Sanggunian ng Davao to see the municipal hall, a city landmark built in 1926, and declared a historical site by the National Historical Commission. Next is another important landmark, the Peace Pact Monument, before proceeding to San Pedro Church. This cathedral is the oldest in the city and features well-preserved statues and a curved roof reminiscent of a traditional Mindanao boat called a vinta. You’ll then proceed to China Town to witness this lively part of the city filled with Chinese-Filipino establishments. To cap off your tour, you’ll visit Bahay ni Digong and Apo ni Lola, the residence of President Duterte and family.
