This interactive museum not only gives its visitors an overview of the Philippines’ provinces, but guests can also immerse themselves and learn more about the history, culture, and traditions of the provinces are featured in this museum.
Activities to do inside
With Lakbay Museo’s 11 attractions inside their space, guests can freely explore the different provinces in the Philippines from Luzon, Visayas, and Mindanao. The museum greets its visitors in a unique way, by choosing which entrance they should go with: a Jeepney, Airplane, or Vinta. After the unique entrance, a wide range of Filipino cultural performances are held for the visitors to enjoy as they walk throughout the museum.
Some of the highlights include the 14 sections of the museum with different experiences. From giant mango trees, under the sea experience, and even a miniature of Bicol’s Mayon Volcano are some of the interactive attractions guests can see.
Filipino dishes can also be tried out for free or can be bought by using token chips that are given at the entrance. Guests can enjoy trying fish crackers with different sauces or buy treats in the carInderia such as pancit, ginataang mais, and the famous halo-halo.
Aside from the cultural exposure of the different provinces in the Philippines, guests can fully enjoy posing and taking creative photos because of the Instagrammable areas that also feature Pinoy trademarks. Local and traditional dance performances like Tinikling, Pandango sa Ilaw, and many more are some of the museum’s other way to entertain their guests.
At the end of the tour, a mini local store that sells different products made from local brands are being sold for guests who may want to support the local businesses.
