Kapitana Gallery is your first stop. Situated in Balay ni Tana Dicang, it is the ancestral home of the Alunan-Lazires of Negros, a family from a prominent household dating back to the Spanish colonial period. The centuries-old home is now a museum that houses both old and modern art. Afterward, it time to proceed to a local cinema with a seating capacity for 30 people called the Safe House Theater. This is where up and coming Negrense film directors show their films.

Also part of the tour is a visit to Museo de Lasalle, a museum located inside the University of St. La Salle campus that houses a sizable collection of religious artifacts. You’ll also have the chance to immerse in the local art district when you proceed to the Orange Project, where well-regarded Filipino artists display their work, some of which include murals and installations by the likes of Guenivere Decena and Antipas Delotavo. 

Another must-see destination is the Lim Guan Art Studio, which is where personalized caricature portraits are drawn by artist Lim Guan. For a minimum fee, the studio offers a painting lesson about various mediums using charcoal, oil, acrylic, or watercolor painting techniques. Coffee and light snacks will be served at Onse Coffee, an artist-run hub, and a pioneer in promoting Bacolod’s cafe culture.
