Your tour begins once you are picked up at your accommodation. You travel to one of the municipalities of Panglao Island, Dauis, for your first stop. You will visit Dauis Church, also called Our Lady of the Assumption. The church interior features a fascinating mix of artistic influences; from neoclassical columns to Renaissance-inspired coffered ceilings.
What’s more interesting about Dauis Church is the well at the foot of the altar. According to local history, the well originated from the Spanish era. The well was said to have miraculously appeared when locals sought refuge inside the church during Moro pirate invasion.
Your next destination will be the St. Agustin Church. This magnificent Spanish Era stone church boasts a neoclassical façade with Corinthian columns. Inside you will be fascinated by the antique confessionals, the intricately-carved retables, the hexagonal dome above the altar, and the ceiling mural of the Holy Trinity.
Afterward, you will make your way to the Hinagdanan Cave. The entrance of the cave is less than a hundred meters long and can only be entered one person at a time. Here, you will see several stalactite and stalagmite formations and a lagoon with crystal clear waters
You will now head to the Bohol Bee Farm. More than a farm, the Bohol Bee Farm is also a resort and hotel. They serve sumptuous meals made from freshly-picked vegetables from their farm. Your snacks will be served here, but you can opt to have your lunch for an additional fee.
Moving on, you will stop by the Nova Shell Museum, which boasts an impressive collection of seashells from all over the world. After this, you will head to the famous Alona Beach. The beach is famous for its long stretch of white sand and crystal clear waters.
You will visit Panglao Watchtower, a 5-story hexagonal tower that was constructed in 1851. It is said to be the tallest of its kind in the Philippines. To cap off your tour, you will head to Café Lawis, a premier coffee and snack shop in Dauis.
