Sail through the sea and experience the beauty of Cuatros Islas in Leyte. If you fancy spending a day under the sun and getting tanned on the beach, then this shared island-hopping tour is the perfect option for you.

The tour begins after your guide picks you up within Tacloban City and takes you to the town of Inopacan. This is where you will be transferred to a boat going to the beautiful islands of Cuatros Islas. Cuatros Islas, which translates to “four islands” in Spanish, is composed of four beautiful islands off the coast of the municipalities of Inopacan and Hindang. Once one of Leyte’s many underrated charms, Cuatro Islas is now a rising island destination for beach lovers.

Your first stop will be Himokilan Island, the only island in the group that is under the rule of the municipality of Hindang. This is also considered the largest of the four islands and is marked by a hat-shaped hill, turquoise waters, and white sand. While on the island, you can go for a quick dip or trek up the hilly terrains.

From there, you will make your way to Mahaba Island. The island is elongated in shape and features lush verdant forest, rock formations, and white sand beach. Make sure to take plenty of photos by the rocks and enjoy swimming in its clear blue waters. You can also lounge on its long stretch of powdery white sand.

Next is Apid Island, a fishing village that is also known for its mat weaving industry. It is the most populated island in the group and the second biggest, as well. When you go strolling around the island, you will find plenty of women weaving mat under the cool shade of breadfruit trees. There are also souvenir stalls in the area run by the local community.

You will cap off your tour with a visit to Digyo Island, the smallest among the four and sits just across Apid Island. Its name actually translates to “small” in the Cebuano dialect. Digyo boasts of a beautiful sandbar, where you can stroll around and enjoy the panoramic open sea. Visitors are also treated to a gorgeous view of palm trees and white sugary sand. You can also go snorkeling here as the waters are calm and inviting.
