Hop on a boat and sail from one island to the next on this island-hopping day tour to Tres Reyes Islands in Marinduque. Taking you to see not only the island province’s beaches but also its historical sites, this guided trip is perfect for history buffs and beach lovers alike.
This excursion starts after you are picked up from your hotel around Marinduque. From there, you will head to Gasan Port, where your tour boat awaits. Board the boat, don your life vests, and wait as you start sailing to the neighboring islets of Melchor, Gaspar, and Baltazar, the Three Kings.
Gaspar Island, the largest among the three, is your first destination. This secluded tropical paradise has crystal-clear waters and fine sand where you can relax and unwind. Its tranquil atmosphere makes it the perfect destination to de-stress from the chaos of city living.
From Gaspar, you will head to Melchor Island next. The rocky formations covered in foliage make it a postcard worthy destination. You will be given time to walk around, swim, and take photos of this stunning attraction before heading to the next island, Baltazar.
Baltazar Island is the farthest from the mainland. Because of the distance, most travelers typically don’t visit this island, so expect to enjoy the site to yourself. You can lounge in the cabanas or laze on the sand. Swim as much as you want on the beach before you check out the lighthouse built in 1910 during the American Colonial period.
Apart from the beach, Baltazar has other attractions as well. You can explore the Kay Bungo Cave, for example, where the elongated skulls in Marinduque were found. You can also head to Kulapnit Cave and see interesting rock formations. Your guide will walk you through the discoveries and the historical significance of the caves before you are taken back to the mainland.
