Discover the remote beauty of Davao by embarking on this island day tour to Talikud Island. Combined with exciting underwater activities, this shared excursion is perfect for all beach lovers and water enthusiasts.
After your driver picks you up at your accommodation in Davao, you’ll make your way to the activity area. You'll be given an orientation and briefing of the tour before hopping on an outrigger boat that will take you to the beautiful Talikud Island, located off the coast of Davao and right beside the island of Samal.
Upon arriving on the island, you will first enjoy a snorkeling session on the 150-hectare Coral Garden and Marine Reservation Park. Home to 53 out of 73 genera of corals, nine out of 13 species of seagrasses found in the Philippines, and about 250 species of aquarium fish, the Coral Garden is nothing short of a spectacular sight. You will be given enough time to soak in its splendor before you make your way to Angel’s Cove.
Angel’s Cove, located on the northern tip of Talikud Island, is another popular diving and snorkeling site. Its name is derived from the phrase “haven for angels” because of its calm waves. With a visibility of 20 meters, this island is ideal for novice divers. Explore the depth of the aquamarine waters, swim with the fishes, and be amazed at the different kinds of corals below. You can also lounge by the beach and enjoy the panoramic seascape.
From there, you will be taken to Babusanta Beach, found around two kilometers from the cove. This beach is famous for its unspoiled waters, powdery sand, and scenic views, making it a must-visit tropical destination. What’s more unique about this place is that every cottage, chairs, and facilities in the area are made of indigenous materials, showcasing the Davao identity.
It’s also a very good spot for snorkeling, so if you’re up for another round, then make sure to do it here. With its abundance of marine life, you’ll surely enjoy diving in its ethereal waters. If you’re up for a seafood lunch on board, make sure to tell your guide as they can prepare it for you at an additional fee.
