Discover all the adventures you can experience in the Philippines
Plunge into the underwater scenery of Bohol as this fun diving tour takes you to breathtaking dive sites around Panglao Island. Blessed with abundant marine life and expansive coral gardens, this little gem of an island in the Visayas is a must-try for any diving enthusiast.
Bohol is a small island that packs a whole lot of natural charm — from being home to the Philippine tarsier (the world’s smallest primate), the world-famous Chocolate Hills, and scores of stunning waterfalls. But what lies beneath its blue waters are some of the most exciting underwater life you will ever see. One popular site where you can see these treasures is the Garden Eel. Expect to already see a majestic coral garden at a shallow depth of 5 meters. From here, you will go down beside a wall that is home to a variety of nudibranchs, ghost pipefish, and giant frogfish. Once you reach the bottom, you will see a large group of garden eels, the reason for this site’s name.
From here, the next dive site is Doljo Point. Corals are the main stars here, with tube corals and large elephant ear sponge at the forefront. These huge corals are also home to the giant frogfish, where they hide and camouflage away, so you must keep an eye out for them — and once you do spot them, they are a sight to behold.
The Doljo Garden and Sanctuary also feature impressive coral and sponge varieties. Expect to be in awe of large gorgonian sea fans, barrel sponges, and table corals in this area. And if these are not enough, this site is a favorite spot to find barracudas and Spanish mackerel swimming. Batfish, butterfly fish, and moray eels also abound in Doljo Garden.
