Description
Experience a laidback retreat with this whole day island adventure in San Bernardino Island, Sorsogon. If you love the outdoors and the sea, then this escapade is for you.
Your island tour begins after you are picked up in the morning by an air-conditioned van from your accommodation either in Legazpi or Sorsogon City. You will then be taken to the port, where you will board a boat that will bring you to San Bernardino Island.
Located in the San Bernardino Strait off the coast of the Municipality of Bulusan, the island is famous for its lighthouse, which you will be able to see as you approach the island. Named El Faro De Islote De San Bernardino, the lighthouse is one of the Spanish-era lighthouses in the Philippines that still stands today. The island is also known for its unique landscape that features green rolling hills, rocky cliffs, and turquoise waters.
Make sure to wear comfortable clothes and sturdy shoes, because your guide will take you on a tour of the island, which involves walking and trekking. Of course, you will also be able to swim in the island’s waters. If you’re lucky, you may even catch the island’s resident goats as they make their way across the hills.
You have the whole day to explore the island, so don’t rush through all the activities. Once you’re ready to go back to the mainland, your guide will bring you back to the boat, and then you’ll be transported back to your hotel.
