Escape to the City of Pines for a day with this full-day sightseeing tour of Baguio City from Manila. Perfect for those wanting to spend time away from the hustle and bustle of the city, this package is something you don’t want to miss.
Your driver will meet you at the Starbucks SM Mall of Asia. From there, you will make your way north to your first destination, the Lion's Head on Kennon Road. Take a few snapshots here before you head to visit the Philippine Military Academy, also known as the Philippine Armed Forces Military School.
Some 10 kilometers from the academy is Camp John Hay. It is a beautiful mountain resort featuring a world-class Jack Nicklaus-designed golf course, as well as hotels, a shopping center, and convention centers. Stroll around the camp and enjoy the fresh breeze before heading to the Botanical Garden. The garden is packed with a variety of plants and colorful flowers, along with native huts.
From there, you will be taken to Wright Park, a tranquil natural area full of trees. Here, you can walk around and jog with the locals. Feel free to rent horses to ride, as well. A quick drive away from the park is The Mansion, the official summer palace of the President of the Philippines. It was built back in the early 1900s as the official summer residence of U.S. Governors-General.
You will stop over at the Mines View Park next, located in the northeastern section of Baguio. Under a winding stone staircase close to the parking area is the observing deck, where you can see a panoramic view of Baguio. You will then pay a visit to the Good Shepherd Convent for some souvenir shopping before heading to the cathedral of Baguio to offer a short prayer inside.
Another religious site you will be visiting is the Bell Church. This is a Chinese Taoist temple that was built in 1960 in the outskirts of Baguio City. You will cap off your tour with a trip to the Strawberry Farm in La Trinidad, where you can enjoy some strawberry picking before heading back to Manila.
