You will be picked up by your transfer in your hotel lobby or agreed pick-up location and will make you way to the first destination, Pasonanca Freedom Park. The park is one of popular places to visit due to its surrounding trees providing a relaxing ambiance to its visitors.
Nearby the park resides the Tree House and Boy Scout Camp of Zamboanga City. You’ll see different tree houses and teepees that are usually used by the boy scouts of Zamboanga; the campsite has a fascinating history as they were built in honor of the fallen scouts who died during a 1963 plane crash.
You will be given enough time to enjoy both the park and the campsite to take photos and enjoy sightseeing before you head to Yakan Weaving Village, where you will learn and watch how the locals produce beautiful fabrics by traditional weaving and buy for yourself too!
Next, you will be given enough time to have your lunch before you gather and head to R.T Lim Boulevard, a place perfect for a short break with its fantastic view. After lunch, you will proceed to the Heritage Zone wherein you will visit the places that helped Zamboanga City earned “Asia’s Latin City” nickname. This includes the Capitol, Plaza Pershing, Pettit Barracks, Paseo del Mar, and the famous Fort Pilar Shrine Museum. Most were used during the Spanish, American, and Japanese occupation in the country.
Capping off your tour is a stop at the Canelar Barter Trade, where you can buy different souvenirs that you can take home from the trip before your guide drops you off at your hotel.
