Description

Visit the best spots in Cebu City and Mactan through this twin city day tour. This is a perfect experience for travelers who want to see historic Cebu sites in both cities. The tour is also inclusive of transfers, the service of a guide, entrance fees to each attraction, a buffet lunch, bottled water, and free hotel pick-up and drop-off within Cebu City or Mactan.

Your guide will fetch you from your Cebu City or Mactan accommodation on the day of your tour. From there, you will start making your way to your first stop, the Lapu-Lapu Monument. This 20-meter-high sculpture depicts the country's first national hero in full battle gear to commemorate his fight against the Portuguese explorer Magellan. You will also learn more about this foreign seafarer at Magellan's shrine.

Here, you will find a tower built on the site where Magellan was believed to be killed during the historic Battle of Mactan in 1521. Next, you will head over to the Alegre Guitar Factory. Known as the best guitar makers in the province, this establishment also shows travelers how each of their instruments is carefully crafted. You will then go to Magellan's Cross, which features a wooden cross that is said to be planted by Magellan himself when he first set foot in Cebu to introduce Catholicism in the Philippines.

Following your visit there, you will travel to the Basilica Minore Del Sto. Nino, the oldest Roman Catholic church in the country. You will also pass by the Heritage of Cebu Monument as you make your way to the Yap Sandiego Ancestral House. This house now serves as a museum where you can see antique furniture and artworks.

From this historic home, you will then drop by the Pedro Calungsod Church. As its name suggests, this church is dedicated to Pedro Calungsod, the second Filipino to be declared a saint, and depicts important events in his life. Finally, you will end your adventure with a running tour through South Road Properties, Colon Street, Fuente Osmena Circle, and the Capitol Site.
