Your itinerary kicks off at historical landmarks that date as far back as the 1500s. You will first visit the Basilica Minore del Sto Niño de Cebu, which houses the revered centuries-old statuette of the Child Jesus. You will next see Magellan’s Cross, which was erected in 1521 upon the arrival of Spanish colonizers in the Philippines, and then Fort San Pedro, one of the first military structures they built. 

The tour will also take you to the Heritage of Cebu Monument, which features sculptures made of brass, bronze, concrete, and steel, depicting major historical events of Cebu province. Marvel at the intricate details integrated into each tableau. Further, you will get the chance to see the Yap-San Diego ancestral house, said to be the oldest standing house of the first Chinese settlers in the Philippines. 

The tour also includes a visit to the Taoist Temple, a guitar factory, and the Mactan Shrine. The latter commemorates the victory of the Filipino warrior-chieftain Lapu-Lapu over Portuguese explorer Ferdinand Magellan, who led the first Spanish fleet to lay claim to Mactan.

In Uphill Cebu, more lovely destinations are yours to explore. The first stop is the Temple of Leah, a picturesque park designed like an ancient Roman palace. It was built to symbolize the undying love of a husband for his wife, like the Taj Mahal in India. Next is the Tops Lookout, an observation spot that offers sweeping views of the city. There are also various casual dining options here. 

Finally, you will stop by the Sirao Flower Garden, dubbed a “Little Amsterdam” because of its expanse of beautiful flowers. The garden also has quirky Instagram-worthy sculptures, including a giant open hand that lends a commanding view over the mountain.
