Description

Travel back in time and marvel at Sorsogon City’s centuries-old landmarks on this half-day sightseeing adventure. Book this tour and experience the best cultural attractions the city has to offer. This tour is perfect for history buffs and travelers wanting to learn about the culture of Sorsogon.

The tour begins once you are picked up from your accommodation in Sorsogon or Legazpi. Your first stop will be Museo Sorsogon. This building was originally a provincial jail and a courthouse but was converted to what is now a museum housing ten galleries showcasing the history and culture of Sorsogon. You’ll head to another museum after, Museo ng Gerilya sa Sorsogon (Guerilla Museum). Housed in a restored school building, the museum shows how the guerillas of Sorsogon impacted the history of the Philippines during World War II.

Your next stop will be the Sorsogon Provincial Capitol Building and Park. Built during the American occupation, the capitol complex boasts Roman Gothic architecture. The over 100-year-old building and the park is part of a declared heritage district.

Before heading to your next stop, you’ll take a detour to Nimfa’s Pili Candies and OTOP-DTI. In Nimfa’s Pili Candies, you can buy pili candies and other pili nut products. OTOP stands for One Town, One Product, a stimulus program for micro-, small-, and medium-scale enterprises to help create inclusive economic growth. Here, you can shop for local delicacies and handicrafts to take home as souvenirs.

You’ll continue your trip with a visit to Poor Clare Monastery, a peaceful monastery surrounded by trees and plants. After exploring the monastery, you’ll make your way along the Sorsogon City Coastal Road, where you will be able to see a beautiful view of the Sorsogon coastline.

Finally, you’ll head to a lighthouse in Rompeolas. From here, you can see stunning views of Sorsogon and Sorsogon Bay. After your tour, you will be brought back to your hotel so you can rest.
