Description

Get an overview of Davao’s language, history, traditions, food, and top tourist attractions with this online class and virtual tour package. This package is perfect for travelers who want to visit Davao in the future and want to gain a basic understanding of the province and its people as it comes with 4 60-minute sessions that will introduce you to Davao City, which is one of the economic and tourism centers of Mindanao.

You can take your classes and tour once a day for four days, every other day, or even once a week. The schedule of your sessions is flexible, but make sure you give enough advanced notice should you need to reschedule. After you have your schedule confirmed, your instructor or guide will send you a link to a Zoom Meeting where your class or tour will be hosted.

To start off, you’ll take an introduction class to the Visayan language. Visayan is mostly spoken in Cebu and some provinces in the Visayas region, but the language has also spread to Davao City. In this class, your instructor will give you an overview of Visayan so you will be able to understand simple sentences and answer with basic phrases.

Your next session will discuss Davao traditions and history. Davao has a colorful culture showcased in their annual festival called Kadayawan. It highlights the tribes of Davao and celebrates the bounty from nature. Your teacher will discuss these and more.

Davao food will be the focus of your 3rd class. Let your mouth water as your instructor introduces you to Davao’s filling tuna belly and the famous durian. The fruit may not have the best reputation because of its strong smell, but if you give it a chance, it may surprise your taste buds!

Lastly, you’ll go on a virtual tour of some of Davao’s top tourist attractions. Your tour guide will take you to the tallest mountain in the Philippines, Mount Apo, as well as the Philippine Eagle Center, where you’ll find endangered Philippine Eagles. After the virtual tour, feel free to ask questions like where to stay, where to eat, and what to do when you visit Davao in person.

Learn about Davao, including its language, cuisine, history, culture, and tourist spots when you book this package. Check the availability by choosing a date.
