Description
Enjoy a day of seeing historical and cultural landmarks and sampling local delicacies with this private tour of Pampanga province. This tour is perfect for those who want to explore Pampanga hassle-free as it already comes with pick-up and drop-off from Manila City, as well as lunch, dinner, and snacks.
If you are coming from Manila, wait to be picked up from your accommodations in the morning. Otherwise, head to the designated meeting point in the city so you can be picked up from there. Get settled in the car and enjoy the ride to Pampanga.
First, you’ll visit the Historic Camalig Restaurant, which is housed in a century-old building that used to be a rice granary, or in local terms, camalig. It was converted into a restaurant in the 1990s. It is known for its Armando’s Pizza, which comes in several varieties. You can sample some of them during your visit.
Next, you’ll go on a heritage walking tour of Angeles City. You’ll see the Holy Rosary Parish, a recognized National Historical Site by the National Commission for Culture and the Arts, the Museo Ning Angeles, a former town hall that is now home to displays showing the history and culture of Angeles, and the Holy Angel University, a school with a museum that is part of the Center for Kapampangan studies.
You’ll recharge by having lunch at Toll Restaurant before heading to the city of San Fernando. Here, you’ll visit the Old Philippine National Railways station, a National Historical Institute site. You’ll be able to explore the museum and watch a demonstration of how one of Pampanga’s famous giant lanterns is lit.
You’ll also go on a running tour of San Fernando’s heritage houses before heading back to Angeles City to visit the Clark Museum. Enjoy a museum tour and a 4D film on the 1991 Mount Pinatubo eruption and how Clark recovered from it.
Afterward, you’ll head to Mabacalat and have dinner at Lola Nor’s Meryendahan. You’ll also watch a food demonstration before heading back to Manila.
