Sail through the cobalt blue waters of Zamboanga to the island destination that boasts of clear waters and a pink sand beach. Known as the province’s very own version of Bahamas’ Pink Beach, Sta. Cruz Island has been a favorite hotspot, especially for travelers looking for a unique island experience.
You will either be picked up from your accommodation or meet up with your tour guide in Paseo del Mar. From there, you will board a motorboat that will take you to Sta. Cruz Island. Feel free to take photos while on the way. Once you arrive at the island, the Pink Beach will welcome you with its inviting pink sands, which were formed due to the crushed red organ pipe corals that were washed ashore.
Spend some time swimming in the cool waters and find a perfect spot to snorkel and discover the thriving underwater paradise of the area. After you’ve had your fill of the seascape, you will then go on a short trek to visit the Old Badjao Cemetery. The cemetery is home to the traditional burials of the Badjao tribe.
Following the short trek, enjoy cruising while learning about the century-old Mangroves that has been protecting the inland lagoon of the island. If lucky, you may be able to touch some of the stingless jellyfish living in the area. You will also be given an opportunity to experience riding a Vinta boat. Should the weather and tide permits, your last stop will be at a small sandbar in Sta. Cruz. You will be given enough time to take photos and have a quick dip before you return back to Paseo del Mar.
Hop aboard this one-of-a-kind beach day trip that lets you enjoy Zamboanga’s Sta. Cruz Island to the fullest. Check availability by choosing a date.
