Description
Get your swimwear ready and prepare to be amazed by the underwater beauty of Apo Island in this full-day snorkeling tour from Dumaguete. If you’re a nature lover and are looking for a sustainable eco-adventure to swim with the turtles of Apo Island and see its incredible marine life, then this trip is for you.
The tour will begin when your guide picks you up from your accommodation in Dumaguete. You will then be taken to Malatapay Port, or Dauin, to board the boat that will lead you to the stunning Apo Island. This 74-hectare volcanic island is a top diving and snorkeling destination in the Philippines. With its thriving marine sanctuary, the island is home to 600 species of fish and over 400 species of corals.
Upon arrival on the island, your guide will brief you on the safety regulations and provide you with your snorkeling gear and vest. You will then be taken to Turtle Point, where you can swim with the turtles. Apo Island is one of the best places to witness turtles in the wild, so make sure to take plenty of pictures of them. Take note that touching and feeding them is not allowed.
After snorkeling, lunch will be served at the Liberty's Resort. You may choose whether to go back into the water afterward, or just chill out to enjoy the white sandy beaches of Apo Island. You can also go on a short trek along the Habagat Eco-Trail. This will lead you to a panoramic view of the island. You may explore the village to meet the locals and buy souvenirs. Afterward, your guide will take you back to Malatapay or Dauin and drop you off at your accommodation in Dumaguete.
Swim with the turtles and spend the day at the beach on this day tour of Apo Island. Check the availability by choosing a date.
