Immerse yourself in a day of adrenaline-pumping activities on this full-day excursion to some of the popular tourist spots in Cabarroguis, Quirino. If you’re looking for a combination tour of sightseeing, swimming, and wakeboarding all in the same day, then this jam-packed trip is just what you need.
Your driver will pick you up at the meet-up place and take you to the Quirino Water Sports Complex. A project of then-governor Dakila Carlo Cua back in 2007, the Quirino Watersports Complex is a 9.5-hectare full-size cable park, featuring a 450-meter wakeboard cable, a 2.5-hectare lagoon, and a deck area of 251 square meters. Upon arrival at the complex, you will be taken to the banks of the lagoon, where the staff will give you a brief tutorial on the proper way of wakeboarding. They will also be providing the necessary gear.
Once you’re comfortable on your wakeboard, hold on tight to the cable handle as the staff brings the wakeboard cable to life. You will then be pulled away from the banks and into the lagoon. Feel the breeze in your hair as you soar through the waters. You can then enjoy the rest of your time here strolling around the verdant gardens.
From there, you will be taken to see Mount Tagapo, better known as Mount Susong Dalaga. The mountain got its name from its breast-like cone shape. Upon arrival at mountain, you will be rewarded with a panoramic view of the surrounding fields and nearby Ganano river. Take plenty of photos here before you are taken to the capitol tour, starting with the Quirino Province Museum and Library.
Home to various artifacts and displays, depicting the culture of the upland tribes from the Cordillera and Sierra Madre mountain ranges and the migrant lowlanders. Catch a glimpse of the Governor's Village next, an exclusive residential area for government officials. You will also drop by the Capitol Building, where you'll see the bust of the former president of the Philippines Elpidio Quirino, under the dome-shaped ceiling.
Your last destination for the day is Quirino's Orchidarium. Cared of by the Quirino Horticulture Society, this must-see attraction is packed with a variety of endemic plants and flowers, such as wild orchids. Breathe in the fresh air before you go back to the drop-off point, just in time for a quick visit to the Pasalubong Center. Buy souvenirs before your driver brings you back to your accommodation.
