Swim with the whale sharks in Oslob and experience the sardine run in Moalboal during your trip to Cebu when you join this tour. For those who love the water and appreciate the beauty of marine life, this South Cebu tour is the perfect day trip from the city. This package includes hotel pick-up and drop-off, transfers, and service of a guide.

The tour begins with an early morning pickup from your Mactan or Cebu hotel. You need to get there early to avoid the crowds, and travel time can take upward of three hours. Once you arrive in Oslob, you’ll be given light snacks and briefed on how the activity will go, including what to do and what not to do to make sure responsible tourism practices are observed. After the short orientation, you will be taken to a paddleboat that will take you to the whale watching site, less than 10 minutes from the shore. You can opt to watch the butanding or tuki, as the whale sharks are locally called, from your boat, or go snorkeling or free diving for a more memorable experience.

Don’t forget your underwater camera! The whale sharks in Oslob are mostly young ones, 18 to 25 feet (5-8 meters) in length, and will be focused on eating krill on the surface of the water. Keep your distance and do not touch them. You can swim with them for half an hour or so.

When the whale watching activity is done, you will proceed to Moalboal, a small coastal town about an hour and a half from Oslob, for another bucket-list item: a sardine run. Off the coast of Panagsama Beach, there are millions of sardines forming gigantic bait balls. Seeing them swim in unison is something you definitely won’t forget.

After swimming with the sardines, you get back on the boat to go to Pescador Island for snorkeling. The area has a vibrant marine life that includes colorful corals and a wide assortment of colorful tropical fish. Life jackets will be provided for safety. If you're lucky, you may get to see dolphins on your way to Pescador. They sometimes like to greet visitors by leaping out of the water and swimming near the boats.

From Pescador Island, your guide will give you a brief orientation about your next destination: Turtle Point. There, you will have a chance to see sea turtles swimming gracefully in their natural habitat. Your island-hopping adventure ends with a sumptuous lunch at a local restaurant, after which you will be taken back to your Mactan or Cebu hotel.

Grab your swim gear and experience South Cebu's wonderful marine life in this day tour package to Oslob and Moalboal. Check availability by choosing a date.
